Mosswick is a quiet game and we want to know as little about you as possible. Below is exactly what the game and this website do. It is short, because there is not much to tell.
Publisher and developer: Trailcode
Who we are
Mosswick is published and developed by Trailcode. Questions about privacy? Email support@playmosswick.com.
The game: anonymous gameplay data
The app sends anonymous gameplay data to our own server (api.playmosswick.com). This is what it contains:
- a random installation number (created the first time you open the app, not linked to you or your device);
- the app version, the device type and the OS version;
- gameplay moments: when you start or end a session, which step or chapter you completed and how long it took, and whether you asked for directions yourself;
- a heartbeat every 90 seconds with your current step, the screen that is open (for example the backpack or the map) and how long things have been idle.
We use this to improve the game, for example to see on which step players get stuck.
What we do not collect
- No name, email address or other data that could identify you.
- No advertising ID and no location.
- Your IP address is not stored.
- No tracking, no ads and no third-party SDKs in the app.
Because the installation number is random and we know nothing else about you, we cannot link the gameplay data to a person. If you delete the app, the number disappears from your device. Your saved progress stays on your device and is not sent to us.
The website: email sign-up
On this website you can leave your email address to hear when Mosswick is out. We then store your email address, the language you chose and the fact that you signed up through the website. Sign-up uses double opt-in: your address is only added to the list after you click the link in our confirmation email.
We use your address only for the launch email and news about Mosswick. Every email contains an unsubscribe link. Your address is not passed on to anyone else. If you want us to erase your address, email us.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses no cookies and no analytics, and loads no fonts, scripts or images from other parties.
Changes
If anything changes in what the game or the website collects, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
